A Note on Product Availability:
Many parts for vintage scooters are becoming scarce. A large portion of the parts supply comes from very small manufacturing facilities that make only a few items. In order to be profitable, these companies have to collect orders, sometimes for months, in order to have enough quantity to justify a production run. In addition, 90% of our stock comes from countries that have a very different concept of service and delivery speed than we're used to.
What this means to you is that sometimes certain products will be out of stock for long periods of time. This wait is just part of the "labor of love" that is vintage scooter ownership. We ask for your patience; when you're waiting for a part to come in, so are we!
Placing an Order:
To better assist you when contacting us, please have your customer number and scooter VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) available when ordering. This will allow us to serve you best.

Methods of Payment:
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. We also accept Money Orders, Bank Drafts, personal checks*, and Paypal to the address paypal(at)scooterworks.com. We do not send COD orders.
*Personal Check Policy: Personal check orders will be held for 7 business days to allow funds to clear. Checks must be imprinted with name and address. Starter checks not accepted. All personal checks are subject to complete address and bank verification. Returned checks subject to a $35 charge or maximum allowed by law.
Product Pricing:
The majority of our products are sourced from European manufacturers. Currency fluctuations between the US Dollar and the Euro can greatly affect the cost of obtaining goods. Also, parts for vintage scooters are becoming more difficult to locate as manufacturers discontinue production. As supply diminishes, our cost to obtain these parts for you increases. All prices subject to change.
Errors:
We do our best to make sure the correct photo, price, and copy are shown in our catalog and on the website, but sometimes we make a mistake. In the event of any such mistake, we reserve the right to charge the correct price, to ship the correct item, or to correct the mistake.

International Orders:
By Phone: Our telephone number from outside the USA is 001-773-537-0800. You MUST call during open hours, as we are unable to return international phone messages. Most of our sales reps will only be able to speak in English. We are Central European Time MINUS 6 hours. If its 6 PM in Germany, its 12:00 NOON at Scooterworks!
By Internet: THIS IS THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY to order! Place your order on the internet at our secure site at www.scooterworks.com. We will respond to your e-mail address and provide you with shipping details and an estimate of the freight charges within 48 hours of receipt. Due to high fraud incidence, we require a photocopy of the front and back of your credit card faxed to 773-537-0801 att: retail before the order can be processed. You can also email a scan to custserv@scooterworks.com.
Order Details: Prices and Payment: Prices and payment are conducted in US $ Dollars and do NOT include VAT or applicable DUTIES. Prices are subject to change. Orders by Credit Card will require a facsimile of all pertinent details, including card holder name, billing address, card number, expiration date, security code, and signature of card holder. Our fax number is 001-773-537-0801. Orders can only be shipped to the cardholder at the billing address. We also accept Paypal payment to the address paypal(at)scooterworks.com. International shipping: we ship only using a trackable, proof of delivery service such as EMS (Global Express Mail), UPS, or FedEx.
Back Orders:
Parts and items will sometimes be temporarily out of stock. When this happens, we will let you know immediately. Out of stock items will be labeled as out of stock on the product page on our website. These stock levels are updated every 24 hours, and will be accurate 99% of the time. If you order an out of stock item online, it will be automatically placed on backorder. Back orders WILL BE SENT when product arrives in our warehouse unless canceled by the customer. We will hold back orders for 60 days, at which point they will be canceled. It will be the customers responsibility to re-order the item after that time. Back ordered items are NEVER charged to the customer before they ship. Standard shipping rates will apply to all back orders. Back orders are not possible on international orders. It is the customer's responsibility to notify us of change of address or payment method for backorders.
