Description
This NCY 1500 RPM Yellow Contra Spring is a performance compression (torque) spring for the rear clutch pulley on GY6 125cc to 171cc scooters, based on the Honda GY6 design. It's stiffer than stock, so it holds more pressure on the belt and makes the CVT shift up at a higher RPM, keeping the engine closer to its power band for harder acceleration.

Usage Tips
A contra spring does two jobs: it squeezes the belt to stop slip, and it sets the RPM where the CVT starts shifting to a taller ratio. For the best acceleration, match that shift RPM to your engine's peak power.
- Stiffer spring: More belt grip and a higher shift RPM.
- Softer spring: Less belt grip and a lower shift RPM.
Use a clutch spring compressor tool when installing.
