Installation and Tuning

Use the adjustable torque-driver sheave to tailor CVT response: its three straight grooves favor quicker takeoff, while its three bent grooves favor higher top speed. Select the groove style to suit your riding goals, then tune the rollers to complement it.

Start with the 8g rollers as a tuning baseline, then evaluate engine RPM and response under load. The 7g set offers a lighter-weight option for acceleration-focused tuning; results depend on the engine, belt and overall setup. Inspect the drive belt during installation and replace it with the correct application-specific belt if worn.
