Important: Carburetor Re-Jetting Likely Required
Switching from a stock closed airbox to an open high-flow filter significantly increases airflow volume. This will cause your engine to run lean (too much air, not enough fuel), resulting in coughing, sputtering, or potential cylinder damage. You must up-jet your carburetor’s main jet — typically an increase of 5–10 sizes depending on elevation — to properly balance the fuel mixture after installation.
