This Genuine Starter Motor is the original OEM electric starter for Genuine 50cc 2-stroke scooters, including the Buddy 50, Roughhouse 50, Rattler 50, and Black Cat 50. If your scooter won't crank, spins slowly, or only starts on the kick starter, a worn starter motor is a common cause. This factory unit bolts in with its own harness and connector.

Installation Notes

When installing, clean the ground connection on the engine case with a wire brush. Crank for no more than 5 seconds at a time and let the starter cool for 10 seconds between tries.
