CVT Tuning Guide

Lighter rollers generally delay upshifting and let the engine run at higher RPM; heavier rollers generally promote earlier upshifting and lower RPM. The best weight depends on the engine's powerband, variator, belt, springs, and rider load. Too light or too heavy can hurt performance, and heavier weights do not guarantee more top speed.
