Match the existing clutch design, plate dimensions, and stack configuration before installation, particularly if the scooter has an upgraded or non-original clutch. This is a friction-plate set, not a complete clutch assembly.
Do not install the friction plates dry. Pre-soak them in the specified gearbox oil according to the clutch service instructions; use SAE 30 non-detergent oil where specified for the vehicle. Inspect the clutch springs and mating plates while the assembly is apart, since worn components can contribute to slipping even with new friction plates.
