Mechanic’s Note: A squealing or jerky CVT is often caused by dry torque driver pins or a sticky variator boss. Every time you change your belt, inspect your torque driver and apply a small amount of MHR to the guide pins to ensure smooth downshifting. Use sparingly — a thin, even coat is more effective than a thick layer that might contact your drive belt.
