Description
Premium Vespa GTS Outer Drive Face
Stop letting a grooved, uneven, or glazed drive pulley degrade your scooter’s performance. This premium aftermarket outer drive face (fixed half-pulley) works in perfect unison with your variator to deliver crisp, predictable acceleration and smooth gear-ratio transitions. Engineered to meet strict factory tolerances, it replaces worn-out plates that cause premature drive belt wear and sluggish top-end speed.
Key Features
Restores Smooth Acceleration: Eliminates the deep ridges and grooves worn into the pulley face by old drive belts, restoring seamless CVT shifting.
Integrated Turbine Cooling Fins: Features precision-cast external fan blades that draw cool air through the transmission case to lower belt operating temperatures.
OEM-Spec Spline Machining: Designed with a perfectly matched center spline pattern that locks tightly onto the crankshaft with zero slop or play.
Optimized Face Angle: Engineered with the precise factory face angle to guarantee maximum belt contact, preventing slipping under heavy loads.

Maintenance Note: Every time you replace your CVT drive belt, run your fingernail flat across the face of this pulley. If you feel deep ruts, waves, or a highly polished “mirror” finish, the pulley is glazed or worn out. Running a brand new belt on a grooved drive face will destroy the sides of the belt within a few thousand miles.
Installation Tip: When tightening the variator nut over this drive face, always use a dedicated variator holding tool or a torque wrench set exactly to factory specification. Never zip it on blindly with an impact gun without verifying that the splines are fully engaged, or you risk stripping the crankshaft threads entirely.
Pro Tip: Make sure the thin spacer washer behind this drive face goes back on in the exact order it came off. Leaving this spacer out changes the resting width of the front pulley sheaves, which directly alters your low-end take-off gear ratio and can make your scooter feel incredibly sluggish off the line.
