Restore Full Charging Power: Premium Vespa GTS Magneto Stator Assembly
Stop letting a failing electrical charging system dim your headlights, trigger ECU fault codes, or leave your battery dead after a short ride. This premium aftermarket 18-pole magneto stator assembly generates the critical alternating current (A.C.) required to power your scooter’s ignition system and recharge the battery while you ride. Precision-wound to match strict factory outputs, it eliminates the common charging dropouts that plague heavily used or high-mileage modern Vespas.
Key Features
High-Grade Thermal Windings: Computer-wound with premium insulated copper wiring rated to withstand extreme engine temperatures up to 200°C without shorting.
Optimized Electrical Generation: Features a high-efficiency laminated core designed to reduce magnetic resistance, maximizing stable current delivery at all RPM ranges.
All-In-One Integrated Kit: Includes a pre-installed pulsar pickup coil, factory-molded rubber case grommet, and pre-wired connector plugs for a streamlined setup.
Direct OEM Configuration: Engineered as a plug-and-play unit matching the precise mounting dimensions, timing pickup indexing, and electrical characteristics of original factory part number 58070R.

Technical Specs
Manufacturer Part Reference: High-Quality Aftermarket / Replaces OEM 58070R, 638848, 873034, AP8176335
Stator Architecture: 18-Pole three-phase configuration
Dimensions: 95mm Outer Diameter, 36mm Inner Diameter, 32mm Core Thickness
Internal Electrical Resistance: Alternator phase (Yellow to Yellow) 0.4 Ohms ±20% / Pickup coil 125 Ohms ±20%
Package Contents: (1) 18-Pole Stator Assembly with integrated pickup coil, wire harness loom, and grommet
Maintenance Note: Stator burnouts on liquid-cooled Piaggio engines are frequently accelerated by engine oil tracking or running at excessively high operating temperatures. Whenever you diagnose a dead stator, check the alternating phase resistance across the yellow leads; an open circuit or zero resistance to ground signals that the insulation coating has cooked off.
Installation Tip: Removing the flywheel to slide this stator into place requires a dedicated 35mm specialized Flywheel Magneto Puller tool. Attempting to pry or force the flywheel off with standard automotive jaw-pullers will permanently warp the magnetic rotor or damage the sensitive crankshaft snout.
Pro Tip: Since this stator is submerged within the internal engine oil environment, the right crankcase cover must be cleanly removed to gain access. Never reuse the old paper wrapper casing seal; always replace the right crankcase gasket during this swap to prevent a frustrating blend of oil and coolant weeping from the water pump housing.
