Description
Premium Vespa GTS CVT Clutch Bell
Stop dealing with annoying takeoff vibrations, slipping acceleration, and that notorious stop-and-go “shudder.” This premium aftermarket CVT clutch bell is precision-balanced to restore perfectly smooth power transfer from your engine right to the rear wheel. Engineered to handle the high torque of liquid-cooled maxi-scooter engines, it replaces worn, grooved, or heat-warped factory drums to bring back crisp throttle response.
Key Features
Eliminates Takeoff Shudder: Provides a perfectly true, concentric friction surface for the clutch shoes to bite into without jumping.
Resists Heat Glazing: Designed with specialized circular ventilation ports to maximize airflow, lowering operating temperatures under heavy traffic loads.
Heavy-Duty Reinforced Ring: Features an integrated outer steel collar welded along the perimeter to prevent the bell from flexing or warping out-of-round when hot.
OEM-Spec Spline Matching: CNC-machined center splines drop perfectly onto your factory transmission input shaft with zero play or slack.

Maintenance Note: When opening your CVT case, look closely at the inside wall of your old clutch bell. If you see a blue or purple discoloration along the steel casing, the metal has overheated, losing its structural temper and warping out of round. A warped bell will instantly ruin a brand new set of clutch shoes.
Installation Tip: Before sliding this new clutch bell onto the rear pulley shaft, use a bit of brake cleaner on a clean rag to wipe down the inside friction track. Factory parts are shipped with a micro-thin layer of anti-rust oil that must be removed so your clutch pads don’t instantly glaze over on the first ride.
Pro Tip: If your scooter’s transmission feels sluggish from a dead stop, changing the clutch bell is only half the battle. Take this opportunity to check the thickness of your clutch friction pads. If they are worn down near the backing plates, swapping in a matching performance or OEM replacement clutch assembly will guarantee that snappy, off-the-line launch power.
