Mechanic's Installation Tip: When installing a fresh quadrant, apply a generous coating of high-temp lithium grease to the gear teeth and pivot pin before sealing the CVT case. Make sure your kickstart return spring is correctly pre-tensioned and anchored into its case seat — if the spring isn't seated right, your kick lever will hang loose instead of snapping back up after a kick.
