This Malossi 70cc Cast Iron Cylinder Kit is a complete big-bore upgrade for horizontal air-cooled Minarelli 2-stroke engines, the Yamaha Jog-based platform used in the Genuine Buddy 50, Yamaha Zuma 50, and many other 50cc scooters. Going from 50cc to 70cc gives you noticeably stronger acceleration, more torque on hills, and better overall pull. It's made in Italy and includes everything needed for a top-end swap.

Compatibility

Horizontal Minarelli 2-stroke engines are based on the Yamaha Jog design. Confirm that your engine is air-cooled and horizontal and uses a 10mm wrist pin before ordering.

Installation Notes

Wrist pin: This kit includes a 10mm wrist pin piston. If your engine uses a 12mm wrist pin, order the 12mm wrist pin piston separately. Replacement 10mm pistons and piston rings are also available.

Carburetor: Up-jet your main jet 10–15% after installing this kit to avoid running lean.

Break-in: Heat-cycle break-in required for the first 150–200 miles. Use a rich 50:1 synthetic 2-stroke mix during break-in.
